Glassvow privacy policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

Glassvow (琉璃誓言) is a single-player card game for iPhone and iPad. This page explains, in plain language, what information the game handles. It describes the game as it is built today, and it will be updated when that changes.

In short. Glassvow has no accounts, no advertising and no analytics tools. Your saved games stay on your device. The game sends technical crash and error reports to one service provider, Sentry, so that we can find and fix problems.

1. Who we are

Glassvow is made by James TO ("we", "us"). You can reach us at glassvow@eugnel.com.

2. What the game collects

The only information that leaves your device is technical diagnostics: reports about problems, which the game sends automatically to Sentry (sentry.io). Sentry is a service that receives and stores such reports for us. We use them for two purposes only: to find and fix crashes and errors, and to check how stable each version of the game is.

When a report is sent. The game sends a report when:

  • it crashes, or iOS ends it unexpectedly (for example, because it ran out of memory);
  • an error occurs in the game's code or in the game engine (repeats of the same error are capped);
  • it freezes or stops responding for about five seconds or more.

The game also sends a short summary of each play session: when it started, how long it lasted, whether it ended normally or with a crash, and which version of the game it was. Reports are sent in the background. After a crash, that is usually the next time you open the game.

What a report contains.

  • The problem itself: the error message and the list of steps in the game's code that led to it. Before a report leaves your device, the game removes references to its own storage folder from the main error message, shortens long messages, and replaces a message that is itself a saved-game record with a "redacted" marker.
  • Your device and its software: the device model, the iOS version, the number of processor cores, available memory, screen size and orientation, battery level and whether it is charging, low-power mode and similar technical details, plus the version and build number of the game.
  • Language, region and time: your device's language and region settings, its time zone, and the time each event happened.
  • Technical details of the game engine: the engine version and details of your device's graphics processor.
  • A short trail of recent events: for example, error messages from the game, the game moving to the background, the screen rotating, the battery level or time zone changing, or a screenshot being taken. These are technical messages and device events, and they are not filtered. The screenshot itself is never sent.
  • A random code: created on your device when the game first runs, and used only to tell reports from one installation apart from another. It is not your name, an account or your Apple advertising identifier.

The game does not ask Sentry to record your IP address. As with any internet connection, your device's IP address is visible to Sentry's servers when a report arrives.

Sentry processes these reports to provide its service to us, and describes how it handles data in its own privacy policy. The game sends data to no one else.

Apple may separately give us crash reports and basic usage figures for the game if you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device settings. That data comes from Apple, not from the game, and is covered by Apple's privacy policy.

3. What the game does not collect

  • Accounts or personal details. There is no sign-in. The game does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, age or contacts.
  • Location. The game does not ask for or use your location. (Your language and region settings and your time zone are part of the diagnostics described above.)
  • Camera, microphone or photos. The game does not use them.
  • Advertising or tracking. The game contains no advertising, no advertising identifier and no tracking of you across other companies' apps and websites. It has no analytics tool other than the crash and error reporting described above.
  • Purchases or payments. The game has no in-app purchases, and we never receive your payment details. Anything you buy from the App Store is handled by Apple.
  • Anything you type. The game has no text fields, chat or online play.
  • Your saved games. They are never uploaded as files, and reports are not built to contain them. Reports also never contain screenshots, log files or the game's internal state.

4. Where your data lives

  • On your device. Your saved games and settings (audio, display, motion, language and diagnostics) are kept in the game's private storage on your device. The game does not upload or sync them. Deleting the game removes them, together with the random code described above. If you back up your device, the backup is made by Apple's system under your device settings, not by the game.
  • At Sentry. Reports are sent over the internet to Sentry's European Union region, which Sentry documents as hosted in Frankfurt, Germany.

5. How long we keep it, and your choices

Sentry keeps error and crash reports for up to 90 days (the exact period depends on Sentry's plan) and then deletes them automatically. Other diagnostic records, such as the session summaries, are kept for the period set out in Sentry's retention policy.

Reports carry only a random code that you cannot see, so we usually cannot tell which reports came from your device. You can switch diagnostics off at any time in Settings. Reports already sent are deleted automatically after the period above. If you have a question, want to withdraw from diagnostics or want us to delete anything we can find, email glassvow@eugnel.com and we will do what we can to help.

6. Children

Glassvow does not ask anyone for their age, name or contact details, and it has no accounts, chat or online features. The only information it sends is the technical diagnostics described above, and it sends them in the same way for every player, whatever their age. We do not knowingly collect any other information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and have a question, please contact us at glassvow@eugnel.com.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest change. If a new version of the game collects anything new, we will update this page to match.
